My Independence Day thought

On 60th year of independence, one thought came to my mind. As a teacher some young students asked me a question: what the country and politicians, have done for us? Because of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, etc... By the time I remembered the John Kennedy’s word- he had asked… the people “And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”. (Inaugural Address, Jan 20, 1961) .This is the statement which every young seed needs to remember to make this tree i.e country grow into a strong foundation.

Why can’t we Indians remember this word and do well for the country. We are having 110 billion mind resources , why we can’t use it for our nation? I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together ,we can see bright prosperous India.

The people will save their government, if the government itself will allow them.

WISHING YOU ALL HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Hi Aunty…
First of all let me congratulate you for the Blogging step of yours.. I need to learn it yet!
The blog is fantastic. And more over it is written on the perfect timing. Many of Us Feel the same thing, which you have keyed in, but writing it specially requires a great amount of perseverance (as to stop thinking and start acting).
When I was reading the article, many things came to me at the same time. I would first quote the latest… today at my induction lecture, Mr. Mathew, quoted.. “If our best people went outside, what’s the use of billions of knowledgeable people here?” I chose to call these people as Knowledge Tycoons and seriously your blog takes me to this point only…we to become superpower the most important asset we require is Knowledge Tycoons… We HAVE it, but its been utilized by Outsiders; Not entirely but in some percentage. And I regret to accept this that we only allow them to do do.
Aunty the next thing that comes to my mind is, why we always keep Country, Politicians, and People with higher authorities on our questioning fire. Why we can’t think these people are elected by us and people (we) make country.

Thanks a lot Aunty for spinning the Thinking wheel for the young generations. Yes! Truly this blog should be spread to maximum Knowledge Tycoons Around.

An apt independence day thought... this is what our past president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam keep saying.. but these pathetic politicians of our country don't understand this, and they made this great man go out of Rashtrapati Bhavan...

It's the leaders who have to drive these thoughts with the people and be role model for others... i know easier said than done...

But, we have to dream, dream and dream... As Dr. APJ has said "dream is not supposed to be seen while sleeping, but dreams have to make one awake"... and thats the only way to make things happen so that the dream can be achieved...

Again a good post... I'm sure more people would read and inspire from your blog...
