Two Little Birds....

The two little birds
Beautiful birds of nature;
Touching me with wonder,
So gentle with serenity
At the window of my heart,
Blinking at me with their serious eyes
They looked like frightened
Like one in danger, Cautious,
They glanced with rapid eyes
Looking for something to eat...
I wondered what it would be like to fly?
To be able to soar as high as the big blue sky
I wondered how they survive.
Just what it is that keeps them alive?
Life isn't always as easy as it seems
These little birds have no care in the world
As they fly around all day and tumble and twirl
He can barely fly, chirping no more...
Looks up at the blue skies,
Or to feel any emotions inside,
As it was, the bird just needed love;
Love, all along.
But there was no one there,
To listen to the song he would sing.
The people were too busy,
These little birds have no care in the world...
But there was someone,
Up in the sky,
He watched Lovely,
His hand reached down,
From the place in the sky...
They are very innocent creatures and do not hunt them .We must  take care and allow them to live as they are and that will make our environment beautiful.
Can we not humble ourselves as to be bothered about these lovely birds?

WOMAN'S DAY

"WOMAN'S DAY"

"It's time to give the lie to the old saying that behind every successful man there's a woman"

Women.. Perfection what defines you! Women's Day… It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.Any woman who's had to balance work, home, family, chores etc will love this day. A few women achieved power and fame through their roles as wives, mothers, daughters, and grandmothers; a very few achieved lasting fame through their own achievements. Women have made their mark in the workplace, and not just in the 20th century. Women have founded or inherited and run major business enterprises, and women have organized the workplace for better working conditions and compensation

They deserve more than just a day of appreciation. Women are making impressive strides to catch up with gender equity keep cropping up every once in a while. The women's day is not only meant for womanhood.. it also combines motherhood which is the root cause / origin of mankind.. dedicating one day to motherhood in the name of women's day and thinking about how each and every woman must play her role to progress herself.. From being a homemaker to a pilot, the sky is really the limit for women..

Women have shown they can be tough , if not tougher too. Yes, women today are everywhere, doing things never thought possible before.ALL THE WONDERS SHE SEEK HER WITHIN HERSELF.She fills moments with sunshine&joy. It could be mom, who patiently changed your nappies and comforted you during tough times. It could be wife simple, caring and loving.. Raksha Bandhan

The chaste bond of love between a brother and a sister is one of the deepest and noblest of human emotions. 'Raksha Bandhan' or 'Rakhi' is a special occasion to celebrate this emotional bonding by tying a holy thread around the wrist. This thread, which pulsates with sisterly love and sublime sentiments, is rightly called the ‘Rakhi’. It means 'a bond of protection', and Raksha Bandhan signifies that the strong must protect the weak from all that’s evil. , sisters pray for their brothers and renew the love (bond or relationship) between brothers and sisters. Brothers in turn promise to protect their sisters and help them during any troubles.

The origin of the festival or Raksha Bandhan can be traced to Mahabharatha. In order to punish Shishupala for his repeated criminal offenses and sinful deeds,Lord Krishna threw a celestial weapon at Shishupala.

In the process of throwing the weapon Krishna injured his own finger, which bled profusely. At that moment Draupadi tore a piece of her sari to wrap it around Krishna's finger, stopping the bleeding. For Draupadi's favor Krishna promised her his help in any hour of need. Later Krishna kept his word when he came to Draupadi's rescue while she was being dishonored by the Kauravas following the game of the dice between the Pandavas and Kauravas (refer to Mahabharat).

A piece of Draupadi's sari was the first Rakhi that gave rise to the festival of Raksha Bandhan.Later, this festival gained further popularity in India in the old days of foreign domination when the womenfolk needed protection. By performing a simple rite of thread-binding, a woman had the opportunity to claim any man as her brother, who was then obliged to protect her honour even at the cost of his life.

This thread-binding ceremony is so sacred that even the ancient Muslims ruler of India, Humayun, could not resist his responsibility to protect the Hindu princess Karmavati, who had sent him a Rakhi.
